We went back to my dad’s place (Johor) on new year eve. Most of my family members didn’t see us for quite some time. They said Qianyi has more hair now, her eyes are bigger and she’s growing prettier!
Qianyi met her little niece (my nephew’s baby girl) for the very first time. She’s not interested in the baby who calls her “little aunt” at all. I guess it’s because the baby doesn’t know how to play with her yet. The baby’s so chubby. Everybody said her face’s bigger than Qianyi’s!
Qianyi enjoyed playing with her cousins. She actually prefers older kids.
We spent 3 days in my hometown. We went to KL (Hubby’s hometown) on the 3rd day of CNY.
We visited The Curve, an interesting mall with Hubby’s godmother and her daughter. It’s pretty large. Qianyi enjoyed running around very much.
We also met up with my good friends. I was so happy to see them again after so many years. The last time I saw Angeline (the shorter lady in yellow top in the photos below), her elder daughter was still a baby. Now, the baby has grown into a big girl who is attending primary school. Time flies…
It’s a memorable lunar new year. I’m glad that we managed to celebrate the new year with our families and friends. Qianyi’s a good girl. She enjoyed sitting in her car seat during our Singapore-Johor and Johor-KL rides. She’s still shy but was willing to shake hands with everybody.
It’s Qianyi’s 3rd birthday last Sat. Hubby took a day off last Fri to celebrate her birthday one day earlier in her school. We brought her birthday cake to school at 10.30am and she looked so surprised when we suddenly appeared in her class because parents are not allowed to enter the school. We changed her into a pink dress. She was happy but didn’t know what was going on.
There’s another birthday girl who’s one day older than Qianyi. Her parents didn’t attend the party but her elder sister was there ( the one who’s standing between the two birthday girls).
Teacher Jal told us there’re 2 new kids so the class size is 10 now. Dionness, the aggressive girl who had scratched Qianyi’s cheeks thrice didn’t join us. She started crying when seeing us. Teacher Sun was carrying her but failed to calm her down. Hubby wiped her tears using his hanky. Haha…Hubby used to say he felt like slapping the lioness (we gave her this nickname because “Dionness” and “lioness” look so similar) for what she did to our little princess! I told Hubby about Qianyi’s favourite friend, Charlotte. She’s the youngest in the class. Look, Hubby was feeding the little girl!
Qianyi had a good time that day and we went out to have fun again after school. We even went to Changi Airport that night to meet up with little Chiaki and her parents who flew back from Melbourne. Qianyi’s so excited to see Chiaki and I was very happy to see Lichin, my dear blogger friend too!
There were just the 3 of us to celebrate her birthday last Sat. She enjoyed the cake very much. Our girl’s getting bigger and prettier. We love her so much!
Here’s her birthday gift. Oh, she loves it!
Her self-made swing
Isn’t she innovative? First, she created her own little slide. Now, it’s a self-made swing. She’s turning 3 this coming Sat. What shall we buy for her as a birthday gift? A little slide or a swing?
Her “jewelleries”
Big earrings, big bracelet…haha.. She looks damn funny ya?
Her hair band
What a special hair band…it’s her toy stethoscope!
Her “beautiful” hairstyle
She thinks stickers help beautify her hair. She loves putting lots of stickers on her hair and wouldn’t let me remove them. She would take them off with all her strength and that’s why some hair would come off together with the stickers. She has so little hair but she still doesn’t care about this “hair loss” problem.
It was my birthday yesterday but we started celebrating it last Sat.
After we had lunch last Sat, I sneaked out while Hubby and Qianyi were playing in our little gym. I spent 4 hours in the hair salon nearby to have my hair rebonded. It’s what Hubby suggested me to do since I couldn’t tell him what I wanted for my birthday.
When I came home, Qianyi’s taking her nap. Hubby told me she’s such a good girl when I wasn’t home. When Hubby told her to take bath, she undressed herself. When Hubby told her it’s time to nap, she ran into the bedroom immediately and fell asleep soon. All done without fuss. I couldn’t believe it. Hubby said she enjoyed bullying me.
We went to East Coast to have our dinner that night. She enjoyed her food at the seafood restaurant. She actually ate quite a bit. I was so happy that we managed to have our dinner in peace. After dinner, we let her run on the grass near the beach. She looked so excited and happy.
We went out again yesterday. We had our lunch at a Chinese restaurant. Qianyi was a very good girl. She fed herself the rice and her appetite’s quite good too. Maybe she knew it’s Mummy’s birthday so she didn’t throw tantrums. It’s a peaceful meal again!
It’s my birthday but I spotted a nice cardigan for Qianyi. She received a gift for being a good girl on Mummy’s birthday. We let her wear the cardigan right after we bought it.
Hubby cooked us a wonderful dinner last night. We all enjoyed it so much. The little one finished almost a bowl of rice with fish and veg. I love my birthday card. Hubby held Qianyi’s hand to write “Happy B’day” and there’s her little thumbprint on the card too! It’s a fantastic birthday weekend. Thanks Hubby so much for everything…
