My little sweetheart has great fun at the nursery everyday. Her teacher just told me that she’s always so happy there. She enjoys playing with her friends especially two bigger girls. The bigger girls love to get Qianyi to play with them. Whenever they hold Qianyi’s hand, she would just follow them.
When I pick her up, she won’t leave with me immediately. She would take her time and show me the interesting toys. Her favorite corner is shown in the first photo of the collage above.
She enjoys herself a great deal in the garden too. I saw her coming in from the garden with a broom two days ago when I went there to fetch her. She said, “Sweep the floor!” She then walked into the nursery with the broom and put it back in the back room. The teachers told me she really had fun sweeping in the garden.
She loves the chocolate cake from the nursery too. She was given a piece of chocolate cake two days in a row last week when we were leaving the nursery. She couldn’t wait to eat them.
Although she’s happy there, she still prefers to keep things to herself. She doesn’t talk much. She’s improving but she’s still not there yet. Her teacher would observe her and decide if she needs an one-to-one session in the nursery.
I have a new habit. I love to collect things that I used to discard immediately when they became “useless”, e.g. the empty toilet rolls, tissue box etc. I would try to make some crafts for Qianyi using these recycled stuff. She’ll have new toys to play with from time to time. I would be very happy whenever I managed to surprise her with a new craft.
I made her a bus some time back. She loves it and has had some fun playing with it. I told her who the passengers were and we sang the song “The wheels on the bus” together. I drew a baby with pacifier so that we could sing the part when the mother said “shh shh shh” to stop the baby from crying.
I made a pink car for her later on. Now she enjoys playing with the two vehicles together.
We went to the British Motor Show today. Qianyi was initially very passive and scared of the large crowds but she got much better after lunch, back to her old self and running about between all the cars. Was quite tiring to keep up!
Overall we enjoyed the cars (and yachts) on display, what’s really missing are the pretty girls/models whom we expected to be a common sight at an international motor show like this. There was one bikini clad model who was gyrating away in promoting a motorcycle model but the performance was a bit tasteless and bordering on the erotic . Nevertheless it was an wonderful experience for all of us, what lovely machines we saw!
It’s a bright sunny day on Tue. Qianyi and I had a marvelous time at London Wetland Centre. It’s a nursery outing. There were 5 adults (the female driver, 2 teachers and 2 mummies) and 6 kids only. Everything was free. I didn’t pay a penny for this trip. In Singapore, I had to pay at least 20 bucks for Qianyi’s field trip.
Here’s a photo of happy Qianyi on the mini bus.
We left the nursery around 10. 15am. Everybody was so excited when the mini bus started moving. We kept taking photos. Elena, one of the teachers wasn’t in the school photo so I took a picture of hers. She was posing happily for my camera. We had a good chat on the bus too.
We reached London Wetland Centre before 11am. Qianyi enjoyed watching the bees, ducks, butterflies etc with her little friends. Choi, another teacher told me Qianyi enjoyed looking around very much. Oh yes, she loved the place…
Qianyi was holding hands with her friend, little S (I don’t know how to spell her name) while we were exploring the wetland. Little S is very cute. She told me she had 2 lipsticks at home.
The adventure playground is well worth a visit. I joined in the fun when the kids were crawling through the tunnels. Oh, it’s not easy at all for me… I was carrying a bag packed with water bottle, lunch box, spare clothes etc and I offered to carry a small backpack for the teachers because the 2 of them were taking care of 4 kids whose parents were not coming with us. What’s more, I was too “big” for the “tiny” tunnels. It’s so difficult to crawl through the tunnels. My whole body is still aching now. But my little darling was so excited when Elena told her, “Mummy’s coming too!”
The teachers started applying sunblock on the kids when it’s getting really hot. I should have let Qianyi wear a T-shirt but her long-sleeved top protected her from the intensive midday sun.
The kids had a good time at the indoor play area too.
We had our lunch at the picnic area. Elena has made some cheese sandwiches and prepared some fruits and cucumbers for the kids. We mummies brought our own lunch too.
All the kids (except Qianyi) fell asleep on the bus later. Qianyi’s very tired too and was a bit cranky. She kept asking me to remove her seatbelt. She didn’t dare to make noise when Elena told her everybody had to wear the seatbelt.
It’s already 3.30pm when we reached home. I was exhausted… Well, we all had a good time. To them, it’s “nice weather” but to me, I preferred cooler weather.
My little darling loves to say “Qianyi’s so scared”. While we were on the packed tube train yesterday and nobody offered us a seat, she said “Qianyi’s so scared” and wanted me to carry her. I held her closer and told her not to be scared because Daddy and Mummy were there with her.
When we reached the Natural History Museum and saw the dinosaurs, she’s scared again…haha.. Well, this is a nice museum. Hubby and I love it and the entry is free!
I told Hubby the other day that I have written something about the day we became man and wife in my Chinese blog. I’m going to write down all the happy stories we share to remind myself I’m happily married and not to take things for granted. As my dear hubby couldn’t read Chinese, I’m going to write more in English too.
I had my makeup done by my groom on our big day, not a professional makeup artist. It’s heartwarming, romantic and meaningful. In fact, that was the most touching moment for me that day. I was happy to share that with some of my friends in my Chinese blog. I felt like I was going through it once again by writing it down.
Hubby would give me and Qianyi a goodbye kiss (while we are still asleep) every morning before he leaves home. He gotta plant more kisses on my face this morning because I was still enjoying my beautiful dream. In my dream, he was drawing my eyebrows. Yes, I went through it again in my dream. When I opened my sleepy eyes, he was still kissing me and kept saying the magical three words. I was so touched. It’s sheer bliss!
I love you, my darling hubby…
We had a great outing yesterday. We took a bus to Little Venice and from there, we enjoyed a little peaceful boat trip along Regent’s Canal to London Zoo.
We love London Zoo. It’s nice to visit the zoo when the weather’s not very warm although it’s summer here. Qianyi and I had a go on the Merry-Go-Round. She’s so excited to see the charming Merry-Go-Round. She had a good time playing at the playground too.
My little darling wasn’t really interested in watching the animals from afar. She enjoyed running around.
The happiest moment took place at the children’s zoo. This is the place where the kids can interact with the goats and the sheep. Qianyi enjoyed touching them very much. She said SORRY loudly when they were scared and trying to run away.
It’s fun and we would love to visit the zoo again.
It’s raining this morning…lousy weather but my mood’s beautiful!
While I was walking back to our apartment after sending Qianyi to the nursery, I noticed a man watching me from afar. When I walked past him, he smiled at me. I smiled back.
It’s great to enjoy admiration from a stranger!
